Committee spoke about two subjects in which they received several letters referring to:
A. The use of frozen birds at a field trial. The discussion centered around contestants who run early in a stake having their dogs asked to retrieve frozen birds. The committee feels that all birds used at a trial should be fresh or birds that are fully defrosted and cared for properly. Early dogs should not be put at a disadvantage having to retrieve a bird with very limited scent.
B. Amateurs who are running multiple dogs in the Amateurs Stake. This was the same discussion at the National Amateur Retriever Club.
