Today is the final day for the National Retriever Championship, a new Champion will be named and the season will begin again for the following year. We are finishing up the 9th Series this morning at H.Cooper Black Retriever Field Trial Grounds in Cheraw, SC. Seven retriever teams have yet to run Series 9.
The weather has drastically changed from yesterday afternoon when Series 9 began. Today the heavens have opened and the rain is coming down having set in for the duration. The temperature is warm at 60'F but will drop to 40'F this afternoon. The wind is out of the North steady at 8 MPH gusting up to 15 MPH. Tough scenting conditions for these pheasants.
