Rules & Rotation

Rules From The Marshal:

1. Every 23 dogs ran will be a gun change.

2. Rotation for the first four tests run will be 39, 62, 85, 16.

3. The first 26 dogs in rotation will be allowed to view the test from the line when first announced.

4. When the running dog is returning with the last bird in the test the Handler in the holding blind will be asked to take their dog off-lead to begin judgement.
5. First No-Bird Handler will go back five numbers and run sixth.
6. Second No-Bird Handler will go back five and run sixth.
7. Third No-Bird the Handler will run at the end of the rotation.




 


Conclusion Of The Day.....

The Judges called the test at 5:05 pm. Several dogs have yet to run Series 1 & 2. The Test Dog will run promptly at 6:30 am. The first competing dog will run at 7:00 am. # 32 will be the first competing dog to run in the am.  Good Luck to all left to compete in the am!

No-Bird 31. FC Wing Magic’s Standpipe Moon “Piper”, LF, Mark Edwards

Flyer: had a huge flyer shot far from the gun station. The dogs number was called and the handler sent the dog. The dog put up a long but concentrated hunt in the area when the Judges decided it should be a No-Bird. Instructing the Handler to recall the dog. # 31 will have a Re-Run at the end in the am.

 


30. FC-AFC KPR’s Wet Willie “Willie”, LM, Jim Pickering

Flyer: hunted a bit short then quickly worked back to the area to retrieve the bird.

Mem: Good mark!

Blind: carried a great line and completed the blind smoothly.





 


29. NFC-AFC Seaside’s Pelican Pete “Pete”, LM, Steve Yozamp

Flyer: nice mark!

Mem: made a quick loop to retrieve the bird.

Blind: completed the blind with few whistles for an accurate and smooth retrieve.


 


28. NAFC-FC Dottie Ray’s Ivy League “Ivy”, LF, Andy Kahn

Flyer: straight to the bird.

Mem: drove through the cover to quickly turn back to retrieve the bird.

Blind: accurate and smooth blind for a successful retrieve.

Flyer: made a couple pass just outside the area before retrieving the bird.

Mem: Nice mark!

Blind: several whistles needed to complete the retrieve.

Flyer: drove a bit deep established a tiny hunt to retrieve the bird.

Mem: drove straight to the bird.

Blind: completed the blind in two whistles for a smooth and clean retrieve.


 


24. FC-AFC Tealcreek Patton’s Saber “Saber”, LM, Chris Hatch

Flyer: drove the hill to retrieve the bird.

Mem: lined through the cover to put on the brakes turning to make the retrieve.

Blind: completed the blind in three whistles for a smooth and accurate retrieve.


 


23. FC-AFC Great Bunns Of Fire “Jerry Lee”, LF, Ray Voigt

Flyer: went straight to the bird!

Mem: traveled the mowed path to the brush pile, quickly turned into the area and retrieved the bird.

Blind: completed the blind in four whistles for a smooth and accurate retrieve.



 


22. FC-AFC Indian Height’s Get Away “George”, LM, Carl Ruffalo

Flyer: tiny loop to retrieve the bird.

Mem: drove a bit deep of the area made a small loop then made another larger loop back to retrieve the bird.

Blind: completed the blind in three whistle with little diversion for a smooth and accurate retrieve.


 


21. FC-AFC Un Petit Peu Canaille “Canaille”, LF, F. Lee Jolley

Flyer: made a couple passes in the area to retrieve the bird.

Mem: put up a tiny hunt short of the area and quickly worked to the correct area to retrieve the bird.

Blind: almost lined the blind needing only one check down whistle to retrieve the bird.



 


20. FC Hunting Creek Classy Girl JH “Classy”, LF, Alan Pleasant

Flyer: traveled near the gun station turn toward the fall established a small hunt to retrieve the bird.

Mem: traveled to the mark behind the gun station to quickly turn into the area and retrieve the bird.

Blind: accurate and smooth blind for a successful retrieve.

Flyer: straight to the bird.

Mem: lined to the cover and retrieved the bird clean.

Blind: one whistle early, one whistle near the gun station and carried it to complete the retrieve.

Flyer: straight to the bird.

Mem: traveled under the arc and turned to retrieve the bird.

Blind: lined 3/4 of the way to out needing only two whistles to finish the retrieve smoothly.

Flyer: traveled up the hill and turn to retrieve the bird.

Mem: nice accurate mark!

Flyer: put up a hunt deep of the gunner station and never could work it out. The Handler had to Pick Up the dog.

Flyer: went a bit deep of the bird and worked it out for a quick retrieve

Mem: straight to the cover and made a rapid retrieve.

Blind: early whistle up front, carried line near the end to finish the blind with few whistles.

Mem: Front-Footed the mark!

Blind: carried a great initial line near the gun station then a few whistles to complete the retrieve.

Flyer: had a couple quick loops in the area before retrieving the bird.

Mem: straight to the bird for a clean retrieve.

Blind: lined 3/4 of the way to the blind and required one whistle near the end to complete the retrieve.



 


2. Dunn Hill’s User Friendly MH “Webster”, LM, Wayne Curtis

Flyer: flyer was shot long and deep of original fall area. Dog had a sizable hunt to work it out and retrieve the bird clean.

Mem: lined through the cover made it a bit deep, recovered quick to retrieve the bird.

Blind: three whistles for this smooth and accurate blind.

Flyer: traveled tight to the gun station, rapidly turned to retrieve the bird.

Mem: traveled deep of the fall area, then hunted behind the gun station and was Handled back to retrieve the bird.

Blind: smooth retrieve with few whistles to complete the blind.
