Southern Hospitality Supper Hosted by the Town of Cheraw

The Town of Cheraw hosted a barbeque dinner at Bill's Barbeque in Cheraw to show their appreciation and welcome the participants of the 2013 National Retriever Championship. Many people spent a delightful evening eating a delicious barbeque dinner in the "Prettiest Town in Dixie."

WB: had several whistles up front to put dog in first piece of water, dog tip toed wet grass on water's edge to the dry land, had one whistle to drive land, one to re-enter, and one to retrieve the bird.

LB: carried line near PB, one whistle to carry dog in ditch, one to get thru ditch, one to cross the road, one to drive the hill and one more to retrieve the bird.

Wednesday Night Workers' Party

All the workers at this event are invited to tonight's Workers' Party starting at 6:30 pm. It is being held in downtown Cheraw at the Wine Factory. The directions are Market Street to 2nd and turn right. The place is across from Oskar's restaurant.

Come and let off a little steam and relax ... you've earned it!

WB: initial line carried into the water, two to stay in, one to get out, one to drive land, one to get back in, and one in the lily pads to carry it to the bird.

LB: took initial line 3/4 of the way to the bird an required several whistle in the area of the bird......no bird was planted at the end of the blind. Dog will be judged to the end of the blind for a Great Job!

WB: one to get in, one to swim channel, one to get out, a few to re-enter, and one in the last piece of water to carry dog to the bird.

Waterblind (WB): blew several whistles up front to keep dog in the water as he wanted to ver to the right in the direction of the dry shot, had a few more whistles to complete the retrieve.

Landblind (LB):carried a nice initial line past the Poison Bird. required  a few whistles to travel past the road and a few more to complete the retrieve.
